I am Chiara Kae, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist located in the San Francisco Bay Area who specializes in integrative, personalized nutritional therapy and nutrition education. I am committed to forming supportive, compassionate relationships with clients seeking nutrition solutions for mental well-being and digestive health. I am especially dedicated to helping midlife women break free from depression, digestive imbalances and disordered eating relapses that can resurface after hard-won eating disorder recovery. In my remote work with clients, draw on my published research on eating disorder support groups, background working in eating disorder outpatient treatment, twenty years of experience as a nutrition educator, and my own recovery from anorexia nervosa, deep depression and inability to digest.

In one-one-one sessions, in classes and support groups, I partner with clients collaboratively to create new paths to lasting, optimal nourishment and joyful embodiment. I can uniquely understand and support your journey having walked it myself.  As a nutrition therapist, nutrition professor, and Iyengar yoga teacher, I bridge the most recent nutrition science and integrative health foundations to empower you to positively transform your relationship with food and your body so that you can enjoy the lifestyle and life purpose you desire.
